Skandiflow Studio Etiquette

Arrive Early

We welcome you to arrive up to 30 minutes before class begins to check in and get settled. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to get settled. Students should be on their mat and ready to begin at the scheduled class start time. Building door locks at class start time and late entry is not permitted.

Late Arrival/Cancellations

Late cancellations (less than two hours before class) or failure to attend a booked class, will result in a $20 late cancellation/no-show fee.

Late entry is not permitted and will result in a no-show fee. Please be mindful of parking and plan ahead.

Set Up Mindfully

For some people, those few minutes before class are their only quiet time of the day. Be mindful when you enter the room and roll out your mat.

Practice Scent-Free

Many people are sensitive to smells, so please avoid smoking cigarettes before class, or wearing perfumes, scented lotions, or essential oils during yoga class.

Unplug

Yoga is all about being mindful, which is hard to do when you feel the pull to your phone. Please do not bring your devices into the practice room.

Observe Silence in the Practice Room

Let’s save chatting for outside the classroom. Lounge and catch up with friends on the comfy couches and chairs before and after class.

Stay for Savasana

Please do not book into class unless you can stay for full duration. Packing up early disrupts your own experience and the experience of others. Please do not leave the classroom early unless it’s an emergency.

Honour Your Body

It’s called yoga practice, not yoga perfect. Do not compare yourself to your fellow yogis. Honour what your body can do, modify poses so they work for you and take a break and sips of water whenever you need to.
